Urgent Needs:  

Gardening Help- Our Water Wizards reliably water plants.  Training provided
Visual Art Gallery Help- We need have received the donation of an art collection.  Can you help create a virtual showcase for this art? We also need to create a better system to store and share photographs of the condition of our historic structures and restoration work
Special Events and Private Party Assistants-Set up for weddings and partys, greet the public, and help them enjoy the facility.
Facility Maintenance  Want to be a handyman for a 100+ year old fantasyland?  Do you work well with others?  Can you conscientiously learn and follow guidance about protecting historic places?  This is your opportunity
Office Manager, Secretary and Clerks-   Distribute information, schedule meetings, document management and track to-dos. 
Clean up and Organizaing- Moon dust gets on everything! Our steps and paths often need attention.  We also have work days to handle big tasks such as storage areas
Tech Savvy Systems Help- Can you problem solve and walk users through resolving occasional basic software issues  We also could use help creating on demand training modules for volunteers.

Volunteers Positions: 

General Repairs. Like everyone else, we need to keep up with maintenance and repairs.  We need multiple general repair persons to keep things working well.  
Historic preservation repair workers.  Do you have experience working with old cement, adobe, art work or a desire to learn?  Willing to follow the direction of preservation principles? Small groups tackle big preservation projects regularly.
Ushers.  Travel with adventure shows to keep group together, shine flashlight on safety hazards, assist mobility impaired guests. 
Donor and Volunteer Management Assistants  (2 part time positions) Learn data management system and use it to record information  and run reports.  Assist with training.  Requires computer skills and integrity. 
Docents. Learn the historical facts and stories surrounding Valley of the Moon and pass on your knowledge to members of the public by leading Historic Tours. 
First Saturday Hosts and Guardians.  Experienced volunteers can take on the responsibility of organizing a First Saturday event.  Propose your own theme or choose a traditional Valley of the Moon event. 
First Saturday Assistants.  Tasks include greeting guests, asking children to use their walking feet please, attending to a craft table, running the popcorn machine, and fostering a fun, pleasant environment.
Actors, Set/Prop/Costume Makers.
